Court Awards $110,950 Final Judgment to Client in Litigation Over Counterfeit COVID-19 Tests

At the peak of the Omicron variant outbreak, our client made a significant purchase of more than 15,000 COVID-19 rapid antigen tests from a local supplier, intending to distribute them to their customers. But an inspection revealed that the tests were counterfeit. Rather than risking the health and safety of the public by distributing these unreliable tests, our client opted to take legal action against both the seller and its manager, with the help of our firm.

Last month, the Circuit Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit awarded a final judgment in favor of our client against the supplier for $110,950 (the exact amount paid for the tests). The Court also held the supplier's manager personally liable for the same amount under a fraud theory advanced by our partner, Andres Gamardo. This result underscores our commitment to achieving positive outcomes for our clients.
